    The word “chamomile” derives from the Greek chamos (ground) and melos (apple).

    There are essentially two different species the German Chamomile (Matricaria Chamomila) is mostly cultivated in Eastern Europe and France and the Roman varieties.

    Chamomile has following properties: analgesic, anti-allergenic, anti-spasmodic, antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, antiphlogistic, bactericidal carminative, digestive and stomachic.

Chamomile helps to promote restful sleep, reduce diabetes complications and hyperglycemia.

    The most common use of chamomile is muscle relaxant. Using chamomile as a muscle relaxant can help with menstrual cramps as well as other muscle complaints and should be taken internally.
